Roger & Cheryl n/b Bullfinch

We are the proud owners of Bullfinch, Braidbar No 214 and are thrilled with our new, bespoke narrowboat.

We chose Braidbar because of their obvious build quality, the glowing feedback from other owners and the warm feeling we had meeting proprietors Donna and James.

We knew when we placed our order at Crick in 2022 that there would be a wait for our build slot to come round. We were able to make good use of the time, with many visits to the boat yard, planning and refining our design. This was helped by seeing other boats in build ahead of ours, understanding how design decisions played out in 3D.

We are grateful to James for his many good suggestions that have made Bullfinch perfect, as well as his knack of imperceptibly steering us away from our dafter ideas.

Now we have the boat, the workmanship is excellent and the fit out to the high standard we were expecting. Out on the cut, Bullfinch has proved to be a real head turner, cruising gracefully, quiet as a whisper powered by the hybrid drive.

The whole process of realising our retirement dream has been fabulous thanks to the Braidbar team. Our expectations were high, and these have been exceeded by a long way.

Donna and James have been an absolute joy to work with, with many laughs along the way.
