Braidbar Owners Group Weekend 2011
The weekend of the 10th September 2011 was the third Braidbar Owners Group weekend event to be held at the Braidbar Boats boat yard and was another great success. Ten Braidbar boats arrived during the week ready for the weekend festivities, and twenty four owners, including Peter and Susan gathered together Friday evening in the marquee – lots of catching up to do and great food to share. The new marquee worked a dream!
As in previous years, Braidbar Boats held their Open Day on the Saturday and lots of very interested visitor sarrived throughout the day. All visitors were offered the chance to not only look over the boats in build, but also to view with their current owners, the narrow boats built by Braidbar in recent years.
As in previous years, Peter was Chief Chef, cooking a mountain of meat to feed 31 people!! Yummy!!! Bruce and Sheila then became the quiz masters and tried to keep some order amongst the troops! There were even a couple of awards presented including the BOG award – lots of fun and a great evening!
