Braidbar Boats have been building narrowboats for the discerning boater at historic Lord Vernon's Wharf for more than twenty years.
Braidbar Owners Group
The weekend of the 20th October 2008 was the first Braidbar Owners Group weekend event to be arranged and was held at the Braidbar Boats Boat Yard. Owners travelled from far and wide to join in a weekend of fun and 'graft'. Braidbar Boats held an open day on the Saturday and the visitors were offered the chance to not only look over the boats in build, but also to view with their current owners, the narrowboats built by Braidbar in recent years.
A social get together was held on the Friday evening and a Barbeque on Saturday evening followed by a great quiz organised and delivered by Bruce and Sheila. Sunday morning saw a few of the team visiting the Anston motor museum in Poynton, and later we all dismantled the tent and generally cleared up. We were then all able to relax together in the garden with a light lunch.The weather was great all weekend and the consensus was that we all had fun.
