Braidbar Boats have been building narrowboats for the discerning boater at historic Lord Vernon's Wharf for more than twenty five years.

Improvements to the boatyard

We have now started the penultimate major improvement to the site – reinforcing the banking of the wet dock and installing a smooth concrete walkway around the inside of the dock. That just leaves the driveway to re-lay!

Improvements to date in the yard include the re-building of the banking on both sides of our inlet now providing a safe area to board and disembark the boats whilst moored up, and electric points have been installed to provide power to the boats moored there. The paint dock has been renovated and extended and has a bright company sign displayed on top. The forklift has a new hard standing, and the electrics on site have been upgraded – The Boat Yard looks much smarter now and is a very pleasant environment to work in.
