Rocquette

Rocquette No.117 Sept 2009

Rocquette is a 58 ¾ foot semi-trad style narrowboat with a pretty Josher Bow. It has been built with a standard Beta marine diesel engine but also with a bowthruster. It is fitted with a 70w solar panel which should provide sufficient energy to keep the fridge going whilst moored up (weather permitting). Another energy efficiency is the double glazing throughout.

The solid oak floor throughout (bar the shower room) pulls the whole boat together in a co-ordinated fashion, and will provide years of service. This is a totally gas free boat, with a beautiful compact Duette Heritage cooker, oil-fuelled, supplying both heating and cooking facilities. The Galley is stunning not only because of the key central piece “The Heritage cooker” but also the elegant granite work-surface and inset round porcelain bowl and drainer.

The salon / dining area has an ‘L’ shaped dinette converting into a double bed with a removable discreet curtain, and the main saloon has a comfy sofa bed, thereby comfortably taking 6 people. The Cratch finishes its sleek lines off perfectly providing not only lots more storage space but a good area for viewing the journey.
