it's better to travel than arrive

Janet Grant No. 123 August 2010

"Janet Grant" is a 58.5’ Semi-Trad style narrow boat. It is powered by a Beta Marine 43bhp diesel engine and an electric bow thruster, and has been built with a reverse layout. It is a modern-looking chrome boat with large portholes, and two Houdini hatches, one over the galley and one in the bedroom, all providing plenty of light inside.

The burnt and oiled solid oak flooring is laid through the whole length of the boat, and the ceiling has been painted white too. This provides a nice contrast and gives a light and airy feeling.

From the helm you walk down into the galley area, which has a striking Staron work surface incorporating a stylish 3 burner hob. The studio washing machine has also been positioned here, concealed behind a door. This leads through to the Pullman dinette, where the freezer is hidden under the seating area, and then to the saloon with it’s stunning centre piece of a shiny chrome Lockgate Reflex stove.
