‘Banque à Barque’ is a 58’6” semi-trad style narrow boat and is powered by a Barrus Shires 45bhp diesel engine, Lewmar electric bowthruster, and a 3kw Victron inverter. There are brass portholes in the bedroom and bathroom and Worcester ‘S’ type windows everywhere else, also a Houdini hatch in the roof of the galley, all of which provides plenty of natural light on-board.
From the helm you walk down a set of steps into the bedroom which then leads to the walk-through bathroom with a full quadrant shower with Mermaid wall boarding (rather than tiles), and a chrome towel rail. The bathroom adjoins the ‘U’ shaped galley which homes an eye level oven, Studio washer, separate hob and fridge. The work surfaces have been styled in hard-wearing Staron. Full use is made of all cupboard space including ‘magic corner’ shelving to provide easy access to those ‘inaccessible’ cupboard corners. Discreet under-unit blue/white LED lights have also been fitted under the overhead cupboards and the ‘mini’ welsh dresser. There is a steel side hatch with a tin cupboard under the gunwale.
