Mi Amigo No. 129 May 2011

‘Mi Amigo’, a 58’ 6’’ Trad style narrow boat, is named after the infamous ship housing the pirate radio station, ‘Radio Caroline’, and the image of this ship is painted on the sides of the boat.

Mi Amigo is powered by a Beta Marine 43bhp diesel engine and a 2kw Victron inverter/ charger.

There is a Houdini Hatch in the saloon, and prisms in the galley and bedroom. There is LED lighting throughout the boat and solid oak flooring.

From the helm you walk down through the engine room into the bedroom, where the bed is built down the length of the boat with overhead cupboards, and a wardrobe (housing the first radio system) with drawer units faces the end of the bed. The bed extends from a width of 4’ to 5’. A corridor then leads to a side shower room and then to the double Pullman dinette, on a plinth storing an in-drawer freezer on runners.
